With 179 manifested passengers onboard out of a capacity of 180, AirAsia Philippines commenced its once daily Airbus 320 jet service from Clark International Airport (IATA: CRK) to Puerto Princesa International Airport (IATA: PPS) in Palawan on April 20, 2012.

AirAsia Philippines CEO Maan Hontiveros led her team and a contingent composed of government officials and media in painting the skies red as they arrived in one of the hottest Philippine destinations. Also aboard were 40 delegates from the Philippine Swimming League who are competing in the Mayor Edward Hagedorn Invitational Swimming Challenge.

With so many natural wonders, among them the Underground River, Puerto Princesa and the rest of Palawan are now easily accessible to North and Central Luzon. Those in Palawan can definitely go places with AirAsia’s extensive international network that reaches 20 countries.
